Devon Flaherty is a writer based in Durham, NC who spent a week in residency with her lovely dog. Devon's goal for this time was to gain inspiration of the location and life with donkeys to flesh out her main character who lives on a farm with a donkey. This conversation happens while Devon is painting as part of the farm scholarship and the topics meander into current generation phone and social media habits versus our own youth and her character in the 90s (to avoid needing to have social media and cell phones in the narrative).
