Brent Rowley is a watercolorist from Arkansas who has also lived in Russia and Japan teaching ESL. This interview is the culmination of his just over two month residency as he extended about a week. His work is influenced by the classics with his Art History background and an investigation of the mathematical composition underlying well-known paintings. However, this does not limit his interest in experimenting and seeking happy accidents as a learning process. Brent shares some of his reflection of the time at the camp as well as explanation of some of the work he completed while in a creative flow.
